Services & Treatments
At Sandhurst Hand Therapy we offer a range of customized services and treatments. These include:
- Pre and post operative assessment
- Wound, scar and oedema (swelling) management
- Sensory assessment and retraining when nerves have been injured or repaired
- Movement and strength training to attain functional goals
- Provision of braces and supports. These splints and orthotics may be custom made using leather, soft materials or plastics to allow return to sport or work, provide protection for healing tissues or support painful joints.
- Workplace Assessments to improve ergonomics, and facilitate return to work
- Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessments to assess for equipment or task modification to facilitate independence and improved function at home
- Pain treatments for acute and chronic conditions
